Looking at this picture, I was thinking how challenging it might be to take the typical "7 Deadly Sins" from cliche all the way to high fashion. Another risk factor provided by yours truly.

Balenciaga Show Crisis!

I thought this was a pretty funny story where Balenciaga faced some pretty big problems during a fashion show. This just comes to show that anything can happen!!!  Balenciaga faced a pretty big crisis during their 2012 Spring Fashion show. Before the show even started benches started breaking and Fashion elite like ANNA WINTOUR had to stand!!!

Luckily for Balenciaga, people loved the line and therefore the crisis was quickly forgotten.

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012

I wanted to share this video of the spring/summer 2012 collection of Dolce & Gabbana. I thought the collection itself was very colorful, alive, and playful, it was very Dolce & Gabbana. Although, I feel like they were a little everywhere, starting off with prints, going on to lace and embellishments. Overall, I enjoyed the collection.

 I posted this video mainly for everyone to see the set of the show. I thought it was really amazing, especially with the lighting and the music, it really gives you the Italian aesthetic. Also, if you pay close attention, you can notice that the earrings are made out of pasta, which I thought was a fun Italian detail.

I am a huge fan of street art, and 'gaph' art. I follow a lot of street artist in Montreal, as well as international street artists. One of my all time favorite street artists is Banksy. I highly suggest you guys to check out his work at http://www.banksy.co.uk/. I have recently discovered a new kind of street art called Anamorphic Graffiti. These two pictures stood out to me because i was taken by the fact that the illusion of the art creates such amazing shaped, and makes a scraped wall into something interesting.

Chloe Benhamou (3rd Week Post)

Melancholia, a movie to watch.

If you're in a dark mood and want a movie to distract you for 2 hours, well I have streamed this movie from the Cannes film festival called Melancholia and would definitely recommend it.  Every shot is a beautifully sad picture, and the story revolves around two sisters and the end of the world.  I also enjoyed the classical soundtrack, it gave a dramatic tone to the movie.

 Directed by the Danish Lars Von Trier and featuring Kirsten Dunst (she won Best Actress for her role in it) and Charlotte Gainsbourg (who was also in his other movie Antichrist which I plan to see).

This summer I was really into chillwave/glo-fi/electronic/whatever you want to call it since it doesn’t really have a specific name yet. Basically I would say it’s a mix between dream pop, shoegaze and 80s synthpop (if that makes any sense ) . Anyhow, I really enjoy this style because you can just sit back and relax while you listen to it. Artists that I like who make this type of music include Washed Out, Toro Y Moi, Neon Indian, Small Black and MillionYoung (check them out!). The following video was edited by Alan Jensen ( http://alanjensen.tv/ ) and the song is Blind by Blackbird Blackbird . I really like fact that this video has a bunch of random footage edited together, but it still really fits with the whole laid-back feel of the song.
